Description
Rose's metal is a low melting alloy that's made of 50% bismuth, 25–28% lead, and 22–25% tin. It has a melting point of 94–98°C (201–208°F). Rose's metal is also known as D'Arcets metal. Rose's metal has a low melting point of 94–98 °C (201–208 °F). It doesn't expand or contract much when solidifying, but it does contract slightly when cooling. Rose's metal is: *Eutectic *Non-eutectic *Less toxic *Similar to Woodian metal *Contracting slightly when cooling *Expanding again between 55° to 35°C Rose's metal is used in: *Valves that melt in fires to stop the fire from spreading *Sprinklers
