What is DIN 444 Type B Eye Bolt?

Forged thread vs welded stainless steel eye bolts?
There are different types such as forged and welded. The SS Forged Eye Bolts are stronger as the material strength is even throughout the eye. Bent eyebolts are also available but with heavy loads, the eye or the loop can open up. The welded eyebolts are stronger too, but the welded points usually have different strength values than the rest of the material. The forged ones such as the 304 Stainless Steel Eye Lag Bolts and Eye Screw can hold stress up to the tensile strength of the making material. There are different types such as the lag bolts, collared bolts and anchor bolts. There are also different materials used such as the 304 and 316 basic austenitic stainless grades.
Why are eye bolts used as a fixing for an end fitting?

They can be fitted with tough surfaces and can support angular loads up to 45 degrees. The 316 Stainless Steel Eye Bolts and Nuts are used in sea water and coastal applications due to the chloride ion stress cracking resistance of the material. Sometimes the loop or the eye is made with a larger diameter piece of rod. These types are called the Stainless Steel Collared Eye Bolts because the outer loops base on the threaded rod looks like a collar. This allows for flat fit and right angled installation of the bolts. While loading angularly, the collar prevents the bolt from leaning or bending on the surface.
