AIM 138 is a fusible alloy with a melting point of 138°C. It's used in a variety of industries, including: Aerospace, Lens fabrication, Safety fuse, Electronics, Tool and die. AIM 138 is used for: *Safety devices *Aircraft fixtures *Jet engine blades *Joggle dies *Foundry patterns *Potting molds *Low temperature solder *Soft metal dies AIM's low melting point alloys can be reused multiple times. They contain bismuth, which makes them less ductile than tin. However, they expand up to 3.3% when melted. Some other low melting point alloys include: *TRU Alloy: Has a melting point of 281°F (138°C) *LM138: Melts at 138°C *Bismuth Alloy: Used as a low melting plug for automatic fire sprinkler systems
