AIM 47 is a low melting alloy that is composed of bismuth, lead, indium, tin, and cadmium. It has a melting temperature of 47°C (117°F). AIM 47 is used for: *Lens fixturing *Proof soldering applications *Unique low temperature soldering applications *Fixturing delicate parts for machining *Lens blocking *Proof casting of cavities *Dental models *Fusible element in safety devices and alarms *Radiation blocking for x-rays AIM's low melt point alloys are used in the aerospace, lens fabrication, safety fuse, electronic and tool/die industries. AIM manufactures fusible alloys with melt points anywhere between 10.7°C and 138°C.
