CS Alloys Bend 158 is a low-melting alloy that contains bismuth, lead, tin, and cadmium. It has a melting point of 158°Fahrenheit (70° Celsius). It is also known as: BEND Metal, Wood's metal, Lipowitz's alloy, Cerrobend, Bendalloy, Pewtalloy, MCP 158. Bend 158 is a bismuth-based eutectic alloy that's often used to bend tubes and rolled or extruded shapes. It's also suitable for model railroading, processing chemicals and plastics, and craft applications. Bend 158 is similar to Wood's Metal, which is a eutectic alloy containing 50% bismuth, 26.7% lead, 13.3% tin, and 10% cadmium by weight.
