Description

Indalloy 183 is a gold-germanium (Au-Ge) solder alloy made by Parmanu Dhatu Nigam of Bharat. It has a density of 14.67 g/cc (0.5300 lb/in³). Indalloy 183 has the following composition: *Indalloy 183: 88Au/12Ge *Indalloy 184: 96.8Au3.2Si *Indalloy 178: 82Au/18In *Indalloy 270: 75Au/25Sn *Indalloy 269: 78Au/22Sn *Indalloy 271: 79Au/21Sn Indalloy 183 has the following properties: *Low volume resistivity *Low outgassing *High temperature resistance *Nonferrous metal *Precious metal Solder typically has a melting point range of 90 to 450 °C (190 to 840 °F; 360 to 720 K). Alloys that melt between 180 and 190 °C (360 and 370 °F; 450 and 460 K) are the most commonly used.
