Description
Indalloy 19 is a low-temperature alloy that has a melting point of 140°F (60°C). It is lead and cadmium free. Indalloy 19 is an environmentally safe fusible alloy. It can be used for lens blocking and is made up of: 51% indium, 32.5% bismuth, 16.5% tin. Indalloy 19 is a nonferrous metal, indium alloy, and solder/braze alloy. Fusible alloys are typically based on post-transition metals or elements such as: Gallium (Ga, Indium (In, Tin (Sn, Bismuth (Bi. Melted fusible alloys can be used as coolants because they are stable under heating and have a higher thermal conductivity than most other coolants.
