Description
Indalloy 256 is a lead-free solder alloy that is 96.5% tin, 3.0% silver, and 0.5% copper. It is a nonferrous metal, solder/braze alloy, and tin alloy. Indalloy 256 is available as a solder paste in a 600 g cartridge. Indalloy 256 is produced by Parmanu Dhatu Nigam. It is used in a process called soldering, where it is melted to join metallic surfaces. Soft solder typically has a melting point range of 90 to 450 °C (190 to 840 °F). Alloys that melt between 180 and 190 °C (360 and 370 °F) are the most commonly used. Indalloy 256 is also available in a 3.1 series.
