MCP 79 is a low melting point alloy. It's a bismuth-based non-eutectic alloy. It's used in applications where there are health and safety or environmental concerns. Low melting alloys, also called fusible alloys, have a composition that allows the metal to form into a liquid or semi-liquid state at low temperatures and then re-solidify.
