Description
MCP-96 is a low melting point alloy with a melting point of 96°C. It's made mainly of lead and doesn't contain cadmium. Low melting point alloys can be bent, twisted, and molded easily. They can also act as radiation shielding materials. Some applications for low melting point alloys include: *Radiation protection: In radiological and therapeutic processes *Lens blocking: In the optical industry *Work-holding: Where low temperatures are required *Fusible safety devices: For example, electrical heating devices *Proof casting: For example, high density concrete compounds Some other low melting point alloys include: MCP-69, MCP-137, MCP-200.
