Description
Metspec 141 is a low melting point alloy with a melting point of 61 °C.It contains bismuth (Bi), tin (Sn), and indium (In). It comes in the following forms: Ingot, Preform, Wire Low melting point alloys, also known as "fusible" alloys, are alloys that have a low temperature to melt. They are made up of elements such as bismuth, gallium, tin, indium, zinc, cadmium, tellurium, antimony, thallium, mercury, and lead. Eutectic alloys, which are usually made up of bismuth, lead, tin, cadmium, and other metals, have unique properties in terms of growth and shrinkage. Some uses for low melting point alloys include: *Tooling *Production aids *Lens blocking *Fixturing *Safety fuses *Low temp solder *Turbine blade encapsulation
