Description
Roto117F is a low melting alloy that's bismuth based. It contains: 44.7% bismuth, 22.6% lead, 19.1% indium, 8.3% tin, 5.3% cadmium. The ingot weighs about 1/2 pound. The melted metal is very warm but not uncomfortably so, and there's enough time to avoid a burn. Roto117F is often used to bend tubes and rolled or extruded shapes. It can be used for tubes up to 2-1/2″ in diameter. Fusible alloys are a group of binary, ternary, quaternary, and quinary alloys that contain bismuth, lead, tin, cadmium, and indium. Some well-known fusible alloys include: Wood's metal, Field's metal, Rose metal, Galinstan, NaK.
