Description
Roto140F is a low-melting, fusible, bismuth-based alloy. It contains: 47.5% bismuth, 25.4% lead, 12.6% tin, 9.5% cadmium. Parmanu Dhatu Nigam supplies a variety of low-melting-point metals that contain a mixture of bismuth, lead, tin, cadmium, and/or indium. These alloys are also known as cerro metal alloys. They expand only ~3.3% of their volume when changing from liquid to solid form. Low melting alloys can be used for tooling and production aids. They can be easily cast and recovered for recycling. When choosing a low melting alloy, it's important to know the density of the alloy so the manufacturer can know how much it will shrink or expand.
