Description
UNS C17510 is a beryllium copper alloy. It has good strength and hardness characteristics, and conductivity in the range of 45-60 percent of copper. It has ultimate tensile and hardness properties approaching 140 ksi and RB 100 respectively. C17510 is used when a combination of very good mechanical strength along with moderate electrical and thermal conductivity is required. Here are some properties of UNS C17510: *Hardness: Rockwell B (any thickness) *Tensile strength at break: ≥ 90.0, ≥ 607 MPa, ≥ 621 MPa, ≥ 648 MPa *Thermal conductivity: Btu/ sq ft/ ft hr/ °F at 68°F *Coefficient of thermal expansion: 68-39210 to -6 power per °F (68 – 392°F) *Specific heat capacity: Btu/ lb /°F at 68°F Thermal and electrical conductivity C17510 is used in industries that require high thermal or electrical conductivity. It has a conductivity of 45-60% of copper. Strength and hardness C17510 has good strength and hardness characteristics. Its ultimate tensile and hardness properties are approaching 140 ksi and RB 100, respectively. Beryllium content C17510 is a low beryllium alloy with a substantial increase in electrical conductivity. C17510 is also known as: CuNi2Be, Alloy 3, Alloy 11. Processing beryllium-containing alloys can pose a health risk if safe practices are not followed. Inhalation of airborne beryllium can cause serious lung diseases in some individuals.
