Description

Nickel Beryllium Copper UNS C17510 wire is a copper alloy with good strength and hardness properties. It has a conductivity of 45 to 60 percent of pure copper. The alloy is primarily used in industries that require high thermal or electrical conductivity. Here are some specifications for C17510 Beryllium Copper: *Nickel alloying addition: 1.40-2.20% *Beryllium content: 0.2% to 0.6% *Ultimate tensile properties: Approaching 140 ksi *Hardness properties: Approaching RB 100 C17510 has the following properties: *High strength and hardness *Elasticity *Nonmagnetic properties *Good resistance to corrosion *Good fatigue resistance UNS C17510 wire is a copper-nickel-beryllium (CuNi2Be) alloy wire. It is a low beryllium alloy with a substantial increase in electrical conductivity. C17510 is a Class III Beryllium Copper, which is a heat treatable copper alloy with a high tensile strength. It is used when a combination of very good mechanical strength along with moderate electrical and thermal conductivity is required. C17510 is a low beryllium alloy, so it has a lower strength than other beryllium copper alloys. However, it has a substantial increase in electrical conductivity. C17510 can be welded using various conventional methods, such as: *Brazing *Seam welding *Gas shielded arc welding *Soldering *Coated metal arc welding *Spot welding *Butt welding C17510 is widely used as: Connectors, Terminals, Relays, Springs, Switches, Construction materials, Daily necessities, Mechanical components. Copper beryllium may present a health risk if handled improperly. Inhalation of dusts, fumes, or mists containing beryllium can cause a serious lung condition in some individuals.
