It is ideal for marine, oil and gas, and electrical applications. UNS C17540 is a copper-nickel-beryllium alloy with high strength, good electrical and thermal conductivity, and excellent corrosion and wear resistance. It has a nominal composition of 97.2% Cu, 2.05% Be, 0.5% Co, and 0.25% Si. UNS C17540 has the following properties: *High strength *Tensile strength can exceed 200,000 psi *Good electrical and thermal conductivity *Non-sparking and non-magnetic *High ductility and excellent formability Copper-cobalt-beryllium alloys are available in mill hardened tempers and heat treatable and ductile tempers. They have moderate strength and about 50% IACS conductivity.
