Description
Indalloy 60 is a Ga-In eutectic alloy that's liquid at room temperature and can wet glass and quartz. It's a mercury replacement. Indalloy 60 is also a thermally conductive elastomer, which is a silicone material that has pockets of an indium-gallium alloy. Indalloy 60 has a composition of 75.5 Ga/24.5In. Indium is a versatile metal that's often used for soldering to gold, thermal applications, low-temperature solders, bonding to ceramics, hermetic and cryogenic sealing, and CTE mismatch. Several indium-containing alloys melt at temperatures less than 180°C, making them ideal for step soldering or applications that require lower reflow temperatures.
