Description
Leaded Beryllium Copper UNS C17300 wire is an alloy that contains a small amount of lead. The lead helps the alloy form finely divided chips, which extends the life of cutting tools. The alloy is also machinable, with shorter chips and reduced tool wear C17300 wire is normally hardened after machining. It can also be soft-annealed again so that it can be crimped and electroplated. Typical uses for C17300 wire include: Electrical, Fasteners. C17300 wire is equivalent in performance to C17200. Other designations that are equivalent to UNS C17200 copper include: AMS 4651, AMS 4725, ASTM B194. Copper beryllium alloy is not considered a hazardous waste under federal rules and regulations.
