C17500, CDA 175, CuCo2Be *ASTM: B441 *RWMA: Class 3 *DIN: 2.1285, CW104C *Temper: A(TB00), H(TD04), AT *Nominal composition: 97.2% Cu, 2.05% Be, 0.5% Co, 0.25% Si *Ultimate tensile strength: Exceeds 200 ksi (1380 MPa) *Hardness: Approaches HRC 45 *Electrical conductivity: Minimum of 22% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard) UNS C17500 is a copper-cobalt-beryllium alloy. It's also known as Beryllium Copper Alloy 10. UNS C17500 is similar in properties and characteristics to alloy C17510, but with a cobalt alloying addition of 2.40-2.70% instead of a nickel alloying addition of 1.40-2.20% Beryllium copper has the following properties: Hardness, Strength, Heat conductivity, Electrical insulation, Ultimate tensile strength, Hardness, Electrical conductivity. However, beryllium copper can present a health risk if handled improperly. Inhaling dusts, fumes, or mists containing beryllium can cause a serious lung condition in some individuals.
